London Grey & Green’s ‘Play-in-a-Day’ workshops are bespoke all-day drama workshops for primary and secondary schools (KS2 and KS3).  They enable pupils to work with an experienced practitioner on the creation of a short piece of theatre.  They are run by professional theatre directors with extensive experience of and a passion for working with children.

‘The best bit of Play-in-a-Day was working with professional people. It made me believe in unicorns.’ – Rhia, Year 5

Each workshop is tailored to a specific year group, their curriculum and chosen thematic emphasis.  For example, we have recently produced workshops based on the stories of Michael Morpurgo with Year 5 at Maltman’s Green School, Buckinghamshire, and on A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Year 8 at William Perkin School, Ealing.

‘It gave me more confidence for my drama exam in a few weeks’ – Cleony, Year 5

In our workshops we demonstrate how to engage with learning both creatively and performatively, and most importantly we hope to give the pupils a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable day!

‘I wish I could do it every day!’ – India, Year 5
