Happy New Year from London Grey & Green!

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been involved with and supported London Grey & Green Theatre Company this year!

It has been a fantastic year and we are delighted with the progress that we have made.  We presented our first full-length production A Sudden Burst of Blinding Light, by Ben Maier, at the fabulous Rosemary Branch Theatre in Islington.  It ran for a week, with several sold-out performances and a lovely audience response.  In case you haven’t seen it, here is a link to our production showreel: http://vimeo.com/113926992

In 2014 we were also invited to bring two performance pieces to the Big Noise Festival: Magical Leon and The Vaudevillians.  This exciting multi-arts festival was so much fun to be a part of and an honour, as this year the festival raised over £15,000 for the Big Issue Foundation in just one day!

We also piloted our new Play-in-a-Day project, with two day-long workshops at Maltmans Green School in February; it went so well that we have been invited back for 2015 and plan to roll out the workshops to more local schools – watch this space.

We have been lucky enough to welcome more talented individuals into the London Grey & Green extended family this year, in particular: Ben Maier, Callum Cameron, Samuel Caseley, Elizabeth Mary-Williams, Philippa Carson and Andy Hill.  We also welcomed back some familiar faces, such as Emma Sylvester, who we worked with on our very first production, City Shorts, and we are delighted that Patrick Goodden is now a full member of the company, having done such wonderful sound design and technical work for us over three London productions.  We also would like to say a big thank you to new supporters Colin and Helen David for generously providing us with rehearsal space, Oliver King for his beautiful production photography and Luke Adamson for creating our lovely showreel.

We’re currently busy discussing plans for next year, which will most definitely see developments in our Play-in-a-Day programme, a return of The Vaudevillians, more performances of A Sudden Burst of Blinding Light, along with some brand new work.  We look forward to seeing you all in the new year!

The best of wishes,

Charlie, B and Tess
