The King of Cats At The Secret Garden Party 25th – 28th July 2013
The lovely folk at Secret Garden Party have asked to perform a new devised piece: The King of Cats!
The King of Cats has died and you are invited to join his funeral procession. Cat familiars will lead you through the fields and the forests, to find their witches chanting and charming, musicking and magick-ing. The King of Cats must be honoured, and bad luck from his death warded off!
This is a promenade, physical theatre performance, inspired by different folk tales and superstitions surrounding black cats and the conflicting traditions which perceive them as both good and bad omens.
Auditions will be held on Monday 1st July in London.
