Play-in-a-Day Workshops

After a few quiet months gathering ourselves and our thoughts back together after a very busy summer (with three productions between May – September), we are delighted to announce the genesis of our Play-in-a-Day project.

This will be a series of bespoke all-day workshops for primary and secondary schools.  Tess and Charlie will work with the schools to plan and create a workshop tailored to a specific year group, their curriculum and chosen thematic emphasis.

The first workshop will be held on the 10th February at Maltman’s Green School, Buckinghamshire.  We will be working with 60 year-5 pupils to create two short plays based on the stories of Michael Morpurgo (author of Warhorse).  The day will end with a performance to the parents.

We will work on acting techniques such as improvisation and expressive physicality, and other exercises which will help with focus, concentration and confidence in all their subjects.  We hope to improve their ability to creatively interact with learning through having a thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable day!
